Ryan Lively Named Finalist for 2025 Blavatnik National Award

Prof. Ryan Lively, Thomas C. DeLoach Jr. Endowed Professor in the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, has been selected as a finalist for the 2025 Blavatnik National Awards for Young Scientists in the Chemical Sciences category.

He is recognized for pioneering scalable technologies that reduce industrial carbon emissions and energy use. His research focuses on developing new materials that capture carbon and separate chemicals more efficiently — work with major implications for cleaner industrial processes and climate change mitigation.

The Blavatnik Awards are among the most prestigious honors for early-career researchers in the U.S., administered by the New York Academy of Sciences.
